This park is historical, truly a skateboarders paradise! Being a collector myself, and a historian in a wide range of things: Especially skateboarding! - Kona Skatepark, located in Jacksonville, Florida, is one of the oldest and most iconic skateparks in the United States. Opened in 1977, it was designed by skateboarding legend and architect, Joe “The Ripper” Hammond. Known for its massive bowls, vert ramps, and unique layout, Kona quickly became a mecca for skateboarding enthusiasts, attracting top riders from around the world. Over the decades, it has hosted countless skate competitions and continues to be a hub for both local skaters and international visitors, maintaining its reputation as a cornerstone of skateboarding history.
